Salvo Coglitori was born in Catania in 1972 and alredy shows an inclination for a particular style of painting, by 1998 has began to attend courses, such a drawing pottery. In addition to his technical studies, he is also influenced by the opinions of others. His love for painting will never be abandoned.

From 1990 to 1995 his real training began by visiting exhibitions  of local artists and major museums in cities both local and internationally.

His early style imitated works of great painters of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In particular the works of Van Gogh blossomed the creative impetus that the artist kept unconsciously inside of him.

The  year 1997 marked the beginnig of a series of major event for Salvo. His first exhibition of paintings were staged at thr Palace Acireale city (Catania), which showcased a series a renderings by Van Gogh, as well as his own proclivity for marine, landscapes and fantasy. Also on display was a  35 X50 portrait of a child. The showcase displayed the uniqueness Coglitori’ style, the “marked canvas, stamp with which the artist will personalize all his works.
